October 6, 1993 - December 27, 2022

Scott Rasmussen Phillips, age 29, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

Scott was born to Marilyn Holley Patterson and Sheldon Phillips on October 6, 1993 in West Jordan, Utah. He was the baby of the family, and his older sister Michelle and twin brothers Austin and Kevin convinced their parents to bestow the ultimate honor on their new baby brother: the name "Scott" after their favorite basketball player, Scottie Pippen.

At just 22 months old, Scott was diagnosed with retinoblastoma and had his right eye removed. He handled this with typical Scott humor. In fact, his favorite trick was popping it out on command, or sticking it to his forehead and scaring drivers as they passed on the interstate. He loved sports, playing little league baseball, basketball, golf, and high school football.

Scott made many friends during his life while attending school in South Carolina and Illinois before graduating from Yorkville High School in 2011. A couple of years later he followed his oldest brother to Texas.

He found a passion working with both his head and his hands, and leveraged that passion to work his way up the company ladder at Exalt Printing. He was creative and loved taking on new challenges by experimenting with new techniques. He was a reliable servant leader and made friends he considered family.

Scott loved and cared deeply for everyone he met. His laughter and positive attitude were contagious, and he went out of his way to make everyone feel important to him. He was the best dog dad to Cutty, and his nephew Parker and niece Mabel adored him.

A few things he loved most in no particular order: Harry Potter, Tech Decks, Barstool Sports, Selena, the Power Rangers, discovering new music and mom's chocolate chip cookies.

Scott is survived by his father Sheldon Phillips (Lisa Phillips), mother Marilyn Patterson (Jeff Patterson), sister Michelle Geneser (Josh Geneser), brothers Austin Phillips (Amber Phillips), Kevin Phillips (Shannon Morton), Kevin Lamb (Brittney Lamb) partner Peyton Elliott, nephew Parker Phillips, niece Mabel Geneser, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He will forever be missed by his friends and family.
